Ali and two of Local Transit’s drivers had the honour of attending the gala award event at Melbourne Townhall on 13 November. This year we were not the winner of the Community Category. Little Dreamers, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of young carers, deservedly took out the award in this category.
Being recognised as a finalist in such a prestigious award, is an acknowledgment of the contribution drivers of wheelchair accessible passenger vehicles makes in the community. The skills, care and dedication of these drivers supports people with disability and other mobility restrictions to more fully participate in the community.
Getting this far (to stage 3) in the awards process, is due to the hard work of all our loyal and dedicated drivers who have continued to provide an excellent service throughout the covid challenges. Thank you to all our amazing drivers, who have gone above and beyond to keep passengers, especially vulnerable customers, safe, and to ensure that all our customers have been able to go where they need to safely and on time during these difficulties.
