Local Transit has been engaged by Intercruise since October 2023 to provide 22-seat wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses to transport cruise passengers from the cruise terminal to nearby public transport and taxi services.
In the 2023-24 summer cruise season Local Transit provided transfers for 35 cruise liners, making an average of 25 trips from the ship each morning and 25 return trips back to the ship each afternoon. Thus transporting approximately 20,000 passengers in the 2023-24 season.
Local Transit will continue transferring passengers in 2024-25 season.
