In December 2025, Local Transit began the first stage in the electrification of its fleet with the purchase of a new JoyLong 14 seat bus.
This e-bus has been modified to be wheelchair accessible, and has the capacity to carry two wheelchairs. It is currently serving a specialist school bus route im south-western Melbourne.
