Local Transit continues to expand its courier delivery services to local councils in metro Melbourne. In addition to weekday services between Darebin Council libraries, we have secured a recent a delivery contract with Booroondarra Council to delivery mail between four sites, and to delivery library books between 11 libraries in the council area 7 days per week.
We have engaged a female driver to work part-time on the library courier runs. She is the first female driver in our team.
